MAMAGASEHOME is a fashion and lifestyle brand founded by Junior Mmotla, born from a legacy of style passed down by his late mother, Stella Mamagase Matsepe—whose passion for fashion lives on through his vision.
Rooted in the expressive spirit of streetwear and elevated by the sensibilities of luxury, MAMAGASEHOME draws inspiration from the worlds of art, design, and culture. The brand is deeply influenced by the bold works of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Nelson Makamo, and Keith Haring, as well as a refined appreciation for contemporary interiors and curated lifestyle aesthetics born from this creative confluence.
Before launching the brand, Junior made his mark by winning national fashion design competitions, a journey he undertook while also pursuing studies in both Information Technology and Marketing. These early accolades served as a catalyst, shaping what would become MAMAGASEHOME.
Since its inception, the brand has been recognized by prestigious platforms such as GQ STYLE MAGAZINE. Mercedes-Benz and Standard Bank's fashion business incubator among top 12 brands in South Africa. Further having operated an experiential flagship pop-up store at the upscale Menlyn Maine precinct in Pretoria where the brand was born —MAMAGASEHOME continues to expand its presence, drawing clientele from Johannesburg to Cape Town and reaching international markets including France, Belgium, and the United States through its online store.
